    • 17th Jan 2.30-5: Musicians Info Session & Roundtable DiscussionDownload pkxxkm

      This event has come about from a partnership with Help Musicians Scotland who are currently touring 15 regions in Scotland to discuss what they do and hear from musicians and those working in the sector on what additional support is needed to help design a new fund or support.

      This is also an opportunity to discuss a recent piece of research has been carried out by Newcastle University to understand the needs for the music sector in Argyll and the Isles:

      We would like to bring together organisations who support musicians and the sector from our network to discuss the research and how supportive organisations;
      - can respond to these findings
      - address the needs coming from these findings
      - showcase what current provisions are out there

      What we can do as a network of individuals, regional and national organisations together to improve the lives and opportunities for musicians and the sector?

      Talk on the excavation of the Viking burial on Ardnamurchan
      Phil’s talk is a replacement for the talk Oliver Harris was to have given last January; unfortunately, Oliver was in Ardnamurchan - but snowbound - so had to cancel. Phil has also worked on the Viking burial, so we look forward to his talk, and hope that he doesn’t suffer a similar fate.
